It all began in1988 with a trip to the US, a good friend and the buying of a Chevrolet blazer 82, completely original.

We were in Oakland - California chewing down some burgers and having a few Buds in front of the tv when IT happened. A commercial for a monstertruckshow. The next day we went there and stayed all day, drooling in fron of all the nice creations. In the evening the show was ran, and a combination of mudrace, jeeppulling and monstertruckracing brightened our evening. The decision was made that I sometime would own a fullsize monstertruck. That was just a fact...

Back in Dalsland - Sweden we soon got our Blazer which was thought of as a farmtruck. But i had ideas and great friends who both enjoyed and shook their heads at my thoughts. We raised the Blazer seven inches and put on some 40 inch tires, monstermudders and Mean Farmer I was born. The motor was completely stripped of all the exhaustcleaning crap which was really popular in california in the 80's. This ended up in a big pile of junk in the workshop floor but the car was awesome! When it came to racing it wasn't that much of a hit but with a cool look we got our fair share of attention.

My good friends Åke Johansson, Hans Clementz and Roland Paulsson helped me with my crazy ambitions. My heavy gaspedalfoot made them lose their breath and simply realize that the junk had to go in to the workshoop again. The thoughts began to circle around more powerful stuff and my brother, who does a little carbusiness, got himself a Camaro on a Volvo Suggachassi and Mean Farmer II was born.

Another trip to the US with some good friends came up. And I got home with an extremelly heavy and wellfilled bag with trimgears for the Chevrolet 427 V8 which was in the Camaro.

But before that I had to race with both of the cars on a monsterrace competition in Ed. It was a neverending running between the cars during the race and problems came up when the eliminationladder suddenly was put up on the noteboard. All of a sudden it seemed like I had to face myself in a race.. After informing the leaders of the competition there was a lot of laughters. But there could be only one crazy driver and two Mean Farmer cars. But they graciously changed the places so I was placed on seperate sides on the eliminationladder. Well there was no great success with any of the cars and I got eliminated in the first round , but I was happy anyway.

The happiness in what I do has became my biggest trademark. Laughing and having fun in races is far more important than winning some races. With time we got the Blazer to be the farmtruck as it was ment to be from the beginnig. And I put all my efforts on the Camaro.

My success with the Camaro came in Ronneby 1991 where the Konga-gang arranged a great three day event. During the race all of my freinds showed up and the cheering of 30 great fans lifted me to the clouds. Actually i beat all the other guys except for one. Anders Flogård who I had to face in the final the last day, where he won.

Back home again, happy with my first trophy I could see that the frontshaft was broken. Mr Flogård had the same shaft and he promised to sponsor me with one for the great driving. Assembling was included in his sponsering and i gladly accepted. The cooperation between The farmer and Flogård accelerated fast and the thoughts of a great creation took form. The Mean Viking. Mean Viking started taking form and in spring in 93 the Viking was first shown in Elmia - Custom show in Jönköping. It was given first place in offroadclass. First race for me was in Konga the same year and it was said before the race that they would make the mudhole so heavy to drive in that the Viking would be stopped. Well they were proven wrong. I found the gaspedal once again and 5 tons of Mean Viking splattered the mud all over the place. I came in first and was so happy! We toured all over the country with Mean Viking, but after a while we decided to sell the Viking.

In winter 98 or 99 i got the word that Kättilstorparns great old GMC 42 with a Cheva 454 engine was for sale. I brought Jan Svensson. The owner of Mud Hunter to pick it up and the sale was official. Mean Farmer III was back home and had to have a finish like the other cars in Mean Farmer Blue. I sent the car to Swedal in Ed for a finish and after that I headed straight for a competition in Helsingborg. In the race I got a complete misslanding in the muddhole so the frontshaft broke. Well, we had to pack it up and go back to the workshop and fix it. Back home again Hans Johansson showed up and saw the mess. Well, he said. This is a piece of cake and since that day I have a great coorperation with the brothers Hans and Mats Johansson. I suppose that they have evolved more quickly as mechanics thanks to a mean farmer with a ledfilled rightfoot..

After several years of developing Mean Farmer III we put on a METANOLINSPRUTNING and our winning car was a fact in Älvdalen 2005. I might have gone a bit to fast in the end. The car and I crashed with the result of a broken chassi. My part... I got out and screamed furiously and started getting the car back on the tires. My wish was a fact and soon the car was back running.

Back in Högsäter i asked Hans about his plans for the winter. After some negotiations and months of planning we got some HJULLASTARAXLAR, Parca 1254 model - extremely heavy but great! The building of Mean Farmer IV was on. Mats started building new AXELHUS to save some weight. Tha Johansson brothers started lookin around at american chassis, but we decided to go up a size so that everything would hold for mean farmer. An engine was bought from the Andersson brothers in tractorpulling team Cougar. It's a compressorfeeded engine with 1500 horsepowers. Many hours later our wonder is now finished, fully comparable with the greatest of the american monstertrucks. You might wonder what happened to the Mearn Farmer III? Well, the engine was bought by Jim "Ledfoot" Jacobsson and was installed in his Crazy Toy. The rest of the car was bought by Tomas Svensson. It goes byt the name Big Fighter and is driven by Peter Ottosson. A madness of this caliber demands an understanding girlfriennd so Carina.. thanks! Mean Farmer IV is ready to meet Sweden!
I'll see you around in monstertruck Sweden during the years!
